Sean Nicholl
President
Sean is a Senior from Addison, MI majoring in Business Finance and minoring in Marketing. He has been the Chief of Operations for the WSA for the past two years before being elected President in the spring. He has been an Orientation Student Leader, Fall Welcome Ambassador, and is currently the Vice-Chairperson for the Bernhard Center Advisory Board. All of which have allowed him to spend time with students, who he looks forward to representing over the course of the year!

Anna Salvagio
Vice President
Anna is a junior majoring in Sales and Business Marketing with a minor in Dance. She is a proud member of the Lee Honors College and Alpha Xi Delta sorority, where she serves as Programs Vice President. Anna has served WMU as an Orientation Student Leader, a Fall Welcome Ambassador and a First Year Seminar Instructor. Anna spent her summer working for the Detroit Tigers as a member of the DTE Energy Squad. She is currently the Growth Intern for Billhighway.co. For fun, Anna likes to read books, volunteer, shop, dance, drink coffee and spend time with her family!

Zack Putnum
Tresurer
Zac's a Senior majoring in business management and minoring in law. He is a member of the Club Soccer team,is an RA in Ackley-Shilling Hall, volunteers with Colleges Against Cancer, is a practice player for the women's basketball team at WMU, and a member of the Lee Honors College. His many hobbies include basketball, soccer, skiing, hiking, being outdoors, and sailing.

Chris Rettich
Chief of Operations
Chris Rettich is a 2nd year Junior majoring in E-Business Marketing and minoring in accountancy from Chesterfield, Michigan. He has been in the Western Student Association since his freshmen year. Chris is the President of the Interfraterntiy Council (IFC) and is a proud brother of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. He volunteers with people with disabilities through Push America and is the Assistant Store Manager at Underground Printing. In his spare time, Chris loves to jam out to his "guilty pleasures" playlist, pet his adorable kitten Bandit, or play games on his iPhone. This year, Chris is most excited about continuing to help make sure the voices of all 25,000 students at WMU are heard

John-Mark Cuarto
Information Tecnology Coordinator
John-Mark is a Junior from Berrien Springs, Michigan, majoring in Graphic Design with a minor in Communication. He is a student in the Lee Honors College and is one of the 2012 Bronco Bash Coordinators and a Graphic Designer for RSO Designs. John-Mark is also a First-Year Seminar Student Instructor, Student Ambassdor, Fall Welcome Ambassador and served as an Orientation Student Leader in 2011. In the past, he has also been involved with Campus Activities Board, Drive Safe Kalamazoo, Outspoken, and Draper/Siedchlag Hall Council.

Jasmin Neldon
Speaker of the Senate
Jasmine is a Senior double-majoring in Political Science - Public Law and Organizational Communication. She is serving her second year as Speaker and has previously served as Vice President and Philanthropy Chair for WSA. She has previously participated in FIRE (Fighting Ignorance and Rape through Education) as a Peer Educator, in National Residence Hall Honorary as Communications Coordinator, as a Program Mentor for the TRiO Student Success Program, and in various leadership positions in the Residence Life community. She loves crafting and all things thrifty and has an identical twin named Ambrosia.

Brandy Morgan
Speaker Pro Temp of the Senate
Brandy is a sophomore majoring in Anthropology and Pre-Veterinary Medicine. This is Brandy’s second year in WSA, last year she was a Senator and Vice Chair of the Diversity Guidance Committee. Last year, she was a part of the Emerging Leader’s Certificate Program, and planned the Diversity Lock-in! During the summer and on weekends, Brandy works for a Veterinary Clinic in her hometown of Battle Creek. She is a Company Member at What A Do Theater in Springfield, MI.

Meghan Walsh
Campus Sustainability
Meghan is a Senior majoring in Environmental Studies and Organizational Communication with am minor in Non-profit Leadership. Meghan is very active in the residence hall community as a Resident Assistant and a member of the National Residence Hall Honorary, and helps her First Year Experience students be successful at WMU. She also loves to volunteer with Collages Against Cancer and play for the WMU Woman's Rugby team. Meghan worked as an Orientation Student Leader in the summer of 2010 and spent her most recent summer at a camp in New York. In her free time she loves to hangout with her friends and is very excited to work on the WSA cabinet as the Sustainability Chair this year. Oh yes, and Meghan absolutely loves Western!

Joe Szuszwalak
Politcal Affairs
Joe Szuszwalak is a Senior from the suburbs of Chicago, double majoring in Political Science, Public Law and Environmental Studies. He spent his summer serving the City of Chicago as a Public Service Intern, and also has experience working with political campaigns with an emphasis on social media. Since his freshman year he has been involved with WSA and served in leadership role within Students for a Sustainable Earth. He also currently serves on the Kalamazoo Transportation Authority Board. His main interests include organizing and advocating for students, the environment, LGBT rights, and public transportation. He is looking forward to a strong bipartisan effort on campus to increase the number of students involved in the democratic process.

Alyssa Liberatore

Alyssa is a Junior with a major in public relations and a minor in fashion merchandising. Outside of WSA Alyssa is an active member and past president of Chi Omega, a member of the public relations organization on campus, and the public relations consultant for Her Campus at WMU. This past summer she interned with AKIRA Chicago as their social media representative. This is her first year on WSA and she is very excited to see what the PR position has in store!

Christine Davenport
Univeristy Pride
Christine is a Senior majoring in Organizational Communication major with a History minor. She is planning on recieving her Masters in Higher Education Student Affairs after graduation so she can continue working with college students. She has an extreme passion for student leadership!
Christine has been heavily involved with the Campus Activites Board, and First-Year Experience Programs (Orientation, Fall Welcome, and First-Year Seminar), along with other programs and organizations at Western. She is excited to spread WMU pride campus-wide and work with her committee to do so!
Dillon Buckland

Dillon is a sophomore majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Event Planning and Psychology. He is a member of Drive Safe Kalamazoo and the Bernhard Center Advisory Board. This past year was his first time participating in Fall Welcome as an Ambassador. This is Dillon's second year in WSA, last year being a senator for CAB. In the past, he was on the planning committee for Spring Into The Streets as the Kick-Off/Wrap-Up Coordinator, Drive Safe Kalamazoo as the Social and Campus Relations Director, a member of the Campus Activities Board, and participated in the Emerging Leaders Certificate Program! In his free time, Dillon loves to volunteer for DSK, play tennis, swim, and hang out with friends. He is really excited to be the first person in this position as Academic Affairs Chair. Go Broncos!

Jonathan Jackson
Community Involvement
Jonathan is a Junior majoring in Biomedical Sciences with minors in Philosophy and Chemistry. He is the current President of Student Veterans of America, and still serves in the Army Reserves. He has served in leadership positions for American Medical Student Association and Health Professional Society. This will be his second year volunteering as a Big Brother of Kalamazoo, and he is a very active Veterans’ Rights advocate. His hobbies include video games, working out, and traveling.

April Kirkland
Allocation Commision
April Kirkland is a senior here at Western. She is majoring in Business Management with minors in General Business and Insurance. This is her second year in WSA. She was on the Allocations Commission last year as a commision member and found a passion to be involved further in the Allocations process. She is actively involved Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and the Panhellenic Council, governing body for the NPC sororities on campus, as Director of Scholarship. She is a member of College Republicans and had the opportunity to go to the Republican National Convention in Tampa this past August. She has previously been an FYS Co-Facilitator and a Fall Welcome Ambassador.
